Pastor Samuel Adeshina, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church (also known as Winners Chapel) in Arepo 1, Ogun State, has said that the current economic difficulties facing Nigerians are a result of not heeding the advice of Bishop David Oyedepo regarding the 2023 presidential election.
Pastor Adeshina noted that Bishop Oyedepo, had cautioned against the challenges now being experienced.
He emphasised that the nation’s hardships stem from the failure to follow Oyedepo’s guidance.
He said, “Our present situation is a consequence of people ignoring Bishop Oyedepo’s advice.
“Everyone knew his stance in the last election, supporting the Labour Party. Although he didn’t explicitly state it, his position was clear.”
Pastor Adeshina further criticised the separation of church and politics, arguing that it has contributed to the current state of affairs.
He quoted the Bible, stating, “When the righteous rule, the people flourish,” and urged believers to support the advancement of God’s kingdom, citing Daniel 6:3.
He added, “To flourish, we must stand for the Kingdom and align with its principles.”
