NDLEA Seizes 2,000kg of Ghanaian Cannabis at Lekki Beach, Arrests Six

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted a fresh consignment of 2,000 kilograms of Ghanaian Loud, a high-grade strain of cannabis, at Lekki Beach in Lagos State.

The agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, revealing that the operation was carried out on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The seizure comes just weeks after NDLEA operatives confiscated 1,960 kilograms of the same substance at Eleko Beach, Lekki, on December 24, 2024.

Six suspects, including four Ghanaians, have been arrested in connection with the illegal drug shipment.

Reaffirming its commitment to tackling drug trafficking across Nigeria’s borders, NDLEA warned that all those involved in illicit drug trade will face the full weight of the law.
