NAUS condoles with Buhari over Kyari’s Death

The National President, National Association of University Students (NAUS), Comrade Felix Simon Ijegalu condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari.

In a statement dated 19th April, 2020, by the Senior Special Adviser to the NAUS President on Media, Comr. Ajiboye Seyi Samson and the Deputy Secretary General described Kyari as one of the loyal friends of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Statement read: “The National President of National Association of University Students (NAUS), Comrade Felix Simon Ijegalu condoled with the Nation, especially President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of his loyal friend and indefatigable Chief of Staff (COS) to the President who died on Friday, April, 17th 2020 as a result of the complications caused by outbreak of Coronavurus Diseases 2019 (COVID-19).

“It’s on records that Late Malam Abba Kyari led a team of Nigeria’s delegates during an official trip to Germany in March, 2020 in search of revamping the critical infrastructures of the nation’s power sector. Following his return on 24th March, 2020, it was made public that he tested positive for COVID-19 and later died on 17th April 2020.

“President Felix Ije further prayed that Allah will forgive his shortcomings and grant the repose of the departed soul Al-Jannatul Firdaus and comfort the family he left behind.” it added.
