NATO to send support to Turkey


The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, (NATO) allies have agreed to deploy semi-permanent shelter facilities to Turkey to help people displaced as a result of the earthquake on Monday.

The NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg who welcomed the decision, stated that the move will help to save lives.
In his words, “Nato stands in strong solidarity with our ally Turkey, and the deployment of these shelter facilities will help to save lives.


“Nato allies and partners are providing substantial support to the relief efforts, and we will continue to do all we can to assist those in need.”
