Manchester United Dismisses Erik ten Hag

….As Head Coach, Van Nistelrooy Named Interim

Manchester United has parted ways with head coach Erik ten Hag after a challenging two-and-a-half-year stint at the club. The announcement, made on Monday through an official statement on the club’s website, revealed that former United star Ruud van Nistelrooy will temporarily step in as interim manager.

“Erik ten Hag has left his role as Manchester United men’s first-team manager,” the statement read. “We are grateful to Erik for everything he has achieved here, including leading us to the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.”

The decision reportedly came after a unanimous vote by United’s leadership, prompted by a difficult start to the season that left the club in 14th place after nine matches. Sunday’s 2-1 loss to West Ham marked the final blow for Ten Hag’s tenure, with the club struggling to regain its former strength.

Van Nistelrooy will work with the current coaching staff until a permanent head coach is appointed.
