Makinde to Receive Best Governor Award at Mufutau Olanihun School Alumni Reunion

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, will be honoured with the Best Governor Award at the 2024 National Reunion Week of the Mufutau Olanihun Comprehensive High School Old Students Association (MULCHOSA).

The event is scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the school premises located in Oremeji along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a statement jointly signed by the National President of MULCHOSA, Mr. Badmus Olatunji and the Vice President who doubles as Chairman, Programme Committee, Mr. Daniel Ayantoye, anipr, revealed that Governor Makinde was selected for the award in recognition of his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to education and infrastructure development in Oyo State.

The ceremony will also feature a posthumous award for the school’s founder, the late Alhaji Mufutau Olanihun, who is being recognised for his extraordinary philanthropic efforts, including constructing and equipping multi-million-naira school facilities that he handed over to the state government.

The event will be chaired by the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Professor AbdulWaheed Salihu, while the Father of the Day is the CEO of Ilaji Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi.

The Guest Speaker for the occasion will be Pastor Segun Ogungbayi, Managing Director of Star FM.

Other dignitaries to be honoured at the event include Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade; Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke; Chairman of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service, Hon. Ibrahim Salako; Oyo State House of Assembly Member, Hon. Waheed Akintayo; Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Engr. Akeem Olatunji; and Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government Area, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo.

Also to be honoured are the Special Adviser to the Governor on Migration and Homeland Security, ACG Barr. Segun Adegoke retd, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Adeyemo Adedeji Ola.

The Media Personality Award will be presented to the Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Broadcasters, Alhaji Abdulrasak Abdulganeey; the Chief Executive Officer of Fresh FM, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, MON; and the Chief Executive Officer of Agidigbo FM, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat.

Additionally, a Philanthropy Award will be presented to the Father of the Day, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, as well as Mogaji Peter Akinwale, Ambassador Orankan, and other distinguished individuals.

MULCHOSA has over 2000 members cutting across 1991 to 2023 graduating set.
