In a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Governor Makinde expressed his gratitude to the youths and parents who have kept the protest peaceful.

Governor Makinde had previously expressed his support for the #EndHungerProtest, encouraging participants to maintain a non-violent approach to achieve their goals.

He urged all Nigerians to stay law-abiding and avoid violence or incitement during the protest, while also calling on the Federal Government to address the citizens’ demands for better living conditions.

The Governor also appealed to citizens in other states, where violence has occurred during the protests, to embrace peace and continue their calls for good governance without resorting to violence.
