Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, has clarified the purpose of his recent visit to the party’s secretariat, addressing misunderstandings about the nature of his visit.
Dr. Yunusa Tanko, Obi’s spokesperson, stated that contrary to reports suggesting an endorsement of Julius Abure as the Labour Party Chairman, Obi’s visit was not for endorsement purposes.
During the visit, Julius Abure mentioned in his remarks that Obi visited his office, a point that Obi confirmed, highlighting the importance of peace within the party.
Obi also engaged with the leadership of the NLC/TUC Political Arm, including Comrades Titus Amba and Chris Uyot, where they discussed peace initiatives extensively.
