Lockdown: NAUS urges Students to Study, Adhere to Health Precautions

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has called on all Students to utilised the lockdown period to Study in order not to be caught unaware when the lockdown eventually comes to an end.

NAUS said this in a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Felix Ijegalu and made available to CAMPUS FOCUS on Saturday, 25th April, 2020.

Ijegalu emphasised that upon resumption, all institutions will fasten their academic calendar and commence exams.

He said “In a bid to corroborate government’s efforts in kicking against the deadly Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Government’s directive to shut down institutions temporarily.

“It is essential to note that upon resumption, all institutions will fastening their academic Calendar and commence unprepared exams hopefully.

“The leadership of National Association of University Students (NAUS) is appealing to all students to positively make use of this pandemic period to focus on academic related activities before resumption.”

NAUS National President also enjoined Students to adhere strictly to all health precautions to avoid the spread of Covid-19 in the Country.

“While imploring all university students to ensure strict adherence to the directive of World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Health, and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on the preventive measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19. We urges Government at all levels to distributes palliative to all vulnerable university students.

“I pray to Almighty God to put an end to COVID-19 pandemic, while wishing all victims quick recovery.” he added.
