LG poll: Oyo Govt declares Friday Half-Day Work

The governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, has authorized the designation of Friday, April 26, 2024, as a half-day work period for all government and civil employees within the state.

This decision is tied to the forthcoming local government elections scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 2024.

According to a circular issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, government offices will conclude operations by noon on Friday, while staff engaged in essential services are required to remain on duty.

The circular from the state government encourages all public and civil servants to exercise their civic duty by participating in the elections on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
