Kwara United Football Club has departed Ilorin to Ikenne, Ogun State, to participate in the 2024 Valuejet preseason tournament.
The competition is set to commence on Wednesday at the Remo Stadium, following the draws and a media parley scheduled for Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024.
In an interview with the club’s media team, General Manager Bashir Badawiy, representing Chairman Kumbi Titiloye, conveyed the team’s excitement and dedication to making a significant impact at this year’s event.
Kwara United reached the semi-finals of the competition last year and is determined to match and exceed that performance.
“Kwara United is resolute in maximising its potential and taking full advantage of every opportunity.
“We view the preseason as a crucial period for training and preparation for the upcoming season, which is why we are participating in the Valuejet competition,” Badawiy stated.
He added that the Valuejet Preseason tournament serves as a vital assessment tool for the team, allowing them to evaluate their readiness and pinpoint areas for improvement as they move forward.
