Kwara NUJ Poll: Ahmed to push for Implentation of New Salary Structure for Media Workers

Chairmanship Candidate, Nigeria Union of Journalists Kwara State Council, Abdul-lateef Ahmed has promised to initiate the process of new salary structure for media workers in the state if elected

Mr Ahmed made the promise during his Campaign Visit to his home NUJ Chapel, Kwara State Printing and Publishing Corporation, The Herald News Papers, Ilorin

He said the State NUJ Leadership if given the mandate would synergize with state legislature to actualize decent salary structure for media practitioners across the state

Mr Ahmed also assured members of people oriented leadership devoid of corruption and marginalization

Earlier, Chairman NUJ, Radio Kwara Chapel, Alhaji Bashir Jimoh charged members at The Herald Chapel to deliver bloc votes for the candidate to emerge victorious

In his submission, Director General Abdul-lateef Lanre Ahmed Campaign Council, Gbenga Ishola tasked The Herald Chapel NUJ members to champion the campaign of Abdul-lateef Ahmed to succeed as a marketable Candidate from their Constituency

Meanwhile, the General Manager, Kwara State Printing and Publishing Corporation, The Herald News Papers, Mr Yomi Adeboye has called on Nigerian Journalists to redeem the image of Profession through responsible reportage

Adeboye made the call while receiving Abdul-lateef Lanre Ahmed Campaign Council who visited The Herald to canvas for support in the forthcoming State NUJ Council elections

The Herald Newspaper Boss described the NUJ Council he met as a young and vibrant Journalist in the past as memorable and respectable.

He identified the choice of Abdul-lateef Ahmed Candidature for the NUJ top job as apt and implored the candidate not to abuse the privilege when voted into power.

In his remark, an Ilorinbased Broadcaster, Alhaji Adisa Akodudu said Abdul-lateef Ahmed is a sellable NUJ Chairmanship Candidate capable of leading State Council of NUJ to enviable height.

Also Speaking, NUJ Chairman, The Herald Chapel, Jimoh Bashir described Abdul-lateef Ahmed NUJ Chairmanship ambition as a devine project from God.
