Kwara NSCDC upgrades Araromi-Isolo Opin Division to Area Command

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has elevated the Araromi-Isolo Opin Divisional Headquarters in Ekiti Local Government Area to the status of an Area Command.

This upgrade received the approval of the State Commandant, Dr. Umar JG Mohammed.

Speaking on behalf of the Commandant, DCC Aiyelabowo Isaac stated that this move is a crucial part of the Command’s strategy to combat insecurity in Kwara State.

Isaac noted that the upgrade aims to reinforce the security infrastructure in Ekiti Local Government Area, boost operational efficiency, and broaden the security coverage of the NSCDC in the region.

He also lauded the Araromi-Isolo Opin community and other stakeholders for their steadfast support in providing a conducive environment for the NSCDC to carry out its mandate of safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.

HRM Oba R.S. Are (JP), the Ilufemiloye I, Asolo of Isolo Opin, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Commandant for his unwavering support.

He commended the corps’ dedication to maintaining law and order and their commitment to ensuring public safety within the community.

The event also included the commissioning of the NSCDC Epe-Opin Outpost office, which is expected to further enhance security operations and improve the corps’ responsiveness to security needs in the region.

The upgrade of the Araromi-Isolo Opin Divisional Headquarters to an Area Command is seen as a significant step towards strengthening the NSCDC’s capabilities in Kwara State.
