Kogi Police Presents N11.2m Cheques to Families of Fallen Heroes

The Kogi State Police Command has presented cheques totaling N11.2 million to the families of three fallen police officers.

The presentation ceremony, which took place in Lokoja, Kogi State, was attended by senior police officers from the command and the families of the deceased officers.

The cheques were presented under the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes, initiated by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

The Kogi State Police Command reiterated its commitment to the welfare of officers and their families, stating that the initiative is aimed at ensuring that the families of fallen heroes are not left behind and to help them cope with the financial burdens that often arise in the wake of such unfortunate events.

The families of the deceased officers expressed their gratitude for the gesture, which they said would go a long way in providing financial support and a sense of security during difficult times.

The Police Force Welfare Scheme is designed to provide assistance to families of officers who fall in the line of duty, recognizing their sacrifices and providing necessary resources for their well-being.
