King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, have officially been crowned as Britain’s Monarch at Westminster Abbey.
The historic event which had in attendance hundreds of high-profile guests, was presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
During the investiture, the Archbishop anointed King Charles with holy oil and presented him with the coronation regalia, including the royal Robe and Stole and also placed the 360-year-old St. Edward’s Crown on King Charles’ head.
Similarly in a separate event, Queen Camilla was crowned with Queen Mary’s Crown, the Sceptre, and Rod.
Highpoint of the event was when grand parade featuring 4,000 members of the armed forces, 250 horses, and 19 military bands ushered the King and Queen back to Buckingham Palace.
