Kidnapped Mother of APC Praise Singer Rarara Released by Bandits

Hauwa’u Adamu, the 75-year-old mother of well-known All Progressives Congress (APC) praise singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara, has been released by the bandits who kidnapped her.

Adamu was abducted from her home on June 28, 2024, in Kahutu village, Danja local government area of Katsina State, sparking concern among Rarara’s fans and the local community.

The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N900 million from the singer. However, a recent video posted on TikTok by Rarara shows him joyfully reunited with his mother. In the video’s caption, Rarara expressed deep gratitude for her safe return and thanked everyone who supported him during the ordeal.

Although her release has been celebrated, details about the circumstances of her release, including whether a ransom was paid, remain unclear.

Local authorities and security agencies have yet to provide additional information regarding her release.
