Kaduna Govt vows to Support Fallen Heroes’ Families

The Kaduna State Government has reiterated its dedication to supporting the families of fallen heroes, particularly widows and orphans, who have sacrificed their lives for Nigeria’s freedom and peace.

Governor Uba Sani made this promise at the Interdenominational Church Service marking the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day at St. Andrew Military Church, Ribadu Cantonment.

Many of these dependents live in poverty and squalor, a situation the Governor acknowledged and vowed to address.

“We shall continue to design and implement empowerment schemes that will lift them from poverty to self-sustenance. This is the least we can do for them”, he daid.

The Governor also prayed for the souls of the fallen heroes and their families.

“We pray fervently to the Almighty God to continue to have mercy on the souls of our fallen heroes. May He continue to comfort and strengthen the families they left behind.”

Governor Uba Sani emphasized the importance of honoring the fallen heroes by promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in their respective communities.

He noted that crisis and conflicts have hindered the country’s progress and development, diverting resources meant for addressing developmental challenges.

The Governor’s commitment to supporting the families of fallen heroes is not an isolated incident.

In the past, the Kaduna State Government has empowered widows and orphans through various initiatives.

Similarly, the Renewed Hope Initiative, an organization founded by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has provided financial support to widows and orphans of fallen heroes.

Governor Uba Sani concluded by reaffirming his administration’s commitment to restoring peace and security in Kaduna State.

“We are rebuilding trust, forging peace, unity, and understanding, and extending socio-economic infrastructure to the 23 local governments of Kaduna State.”
