Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani has appointed Engineer Kabir Ahmed Rufai as the new Managing Director of the Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC).
Engineer Rufai, a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in water supply services, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Masters of Science in Water and Waste Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom, Engineer Rufai is well-equipped to lead KADSWAC into a new era of efficiency and effectiveness.
Prior to his appointment, Engineer Rufai served as the Project Coordinator for the Port Harcourt Water Supply and Sanitation Project, overseeing a US $200 million project for the construction of various water supply facilities. His extensive experience also includes serving in various capacities within the Kaduna State Water Board, where he spearheaded numerous projects financed by international funding agencies such as the African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, and the World Bank.
As a member of prestigious engineering associations including the Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria, Nigeria Society of Engineers, and National Water Supply Association, Engineer Rufai is poised to lead KADSWAC with professionalism and dedication.
Governor Uba Sani congratulated Engineer Rufai on his appointment and urged him to carry out his duties with diligence, commitment to excellence, and dedication to service.
