Jigawa Commissioner Denies Affair Allegations, Threatens Legal Action

Auwal Danladi Sankara, the Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, has strongly denied allegations regarding an affair with a married woman.

His statement comes after the Kano State Hisbah Board confirmed his arrest in an uncompleted building with the woman, following a complaint from her brother-in-law.

Dr. Abba Sufi, Director General of the Hisbah Board, indicated that Sankara would face multiple charges, including operating illegal drug centers.

In a statement, Sankara labeled the claims as “false, baseless, and malicious,” asserting they were aimed at damaging his reputation.

He emphasized his respect for marriage and pledged to take legal action against those spreading the accusations.
