In a bid to quicken the response time of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abogunde Division Ogbomoso Area in tackling insecurity,
HRH,Dr Tajudeen Abimbola Aminulah donated a Nissan ALMERA to the NSCDC Abogunde Division during Abogunde Annual Festival, as Operation vehicle to carry out their duties effectively.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Civil Defense PRO, CSC Oluwole Olusegun made available to National Telescope on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
While Speaking at the handover ceremony HRH,Dr Tajudeen Abimbola Aminulah , said the need to improve the security situation in the area informed the initiative after donation of Divisional office to NSCDC in Abogunde Community for visibility security.
The insecurity in the Country called for contributions of everybody to rally round security agencies in our neighbourhood, hence the need to beaf up security measures in communities which has led to the concerted efforts of community-minded people to mobilise time ,material and financial resources to ensure the safety of Abogunde land.
“To fight kidnapping, curb farmers/herder clashes and other criminal activities It became necessary to augment the efforts of the NSCDC, particularly in the area of patrol and surveillance”, he said.
His Royal highness iba Abogunde called for deployment of more NSCDC personnel to the area in order to ensure adquate security.
In his remarks, the State Commandant of NSCDC Oyo State Command , CC Adaralewa Micheal Akintayo, who was represented by the Assistant commandant Azeez Kola Quasim Area Commander charge of Ogbomoso, said the NSCDC will ensure that the vehicle was used in protecting the area.
Commandant Adaralewa had earlier visited Abogunde Town in November to commission the Divisional office constructed for NSCDC in Surulere North LCDA by Iba Abogunde HRM Oba (Dr) Tajudeen Aminulah Abimbola JP and his subjects .During which iba Abogunde promise to give more support to NSCDC personnel in his domain especially Agro Rangers, and added that he will not relent in his efforts of giving the Corps necessary assistance which resulted to this vehicle donation.
Commandant Adaralewa appreciates the king and his subjects for promise kept and implore the good people of Abogunde and Ogbomoso Land to give timely information that will help in preventing crime to NSCDC and other security agencies to forestall breakdown of law and order and prevent criminality.
Commandant Adaralewa want well meaning individuals ,politicians and community to emulate what iba Abogunde did by giving logistics support to Oyo NSCDC for the Corps to protect their neighbourhood effectively
“This is a end of the year gift not only to the Abogunde Division but to the entire NSCDC ” he added
