Bishop Thomas Aremu, Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), has made it clear that he has no intention of starting his own church after retirement. Instead, he plans to stay with the ministry that has profoundly influenced his life for over 40 years.
At his Valedictory Service held at the Living Faith Church in Orita Bashorun, Ibadan, Aremu reflected on his journey since joining the church in 1983.
He expressed deep gratitude for the guidance he received from Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the church.
“I don’t have a church, and I cannot have a church because God has not infused me with the capacity to do so. This is my Church,” he stated firmly.
Aremu emphasized his commitment to the Winners family, saying, “Even after retirement, I shall remain in the Winners family. I may be privileged to bless other churches, but there is nothing I am going to teach them other than what I have learned in Winners.”
He further noted, “God planted me in this commission, and I am convinced this is where I belong.”
While he may assist other churches, Aremu intends to share only the teachings he has gained at Winners Chapel.
Additionally, he expressed a desire to document the lessons and virtues he has acquired to inspire future generations.
Aremu is dedicated to charity work, aiming to support the needy, widows, orphans, and fatherless children.
The service was attended by Bishop Oyedepo, his wife Faith, Bishop David Abioye, and representatives from the Oyo State Government, all gathered to celebrate Aremu’s decades of dedicated service.
