The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has revealed that he never encouraged his family members to join the church from its inception. He noted that the church’s growth has been fueled by its natural appeal, comparing it to how light attracts people.
Speaking during a sermon on the second day of the 2024 Shiloh programme at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, Oyedepo said, “I never asked any member of my family to come and join this church. Light is always an attraction.”
During the sermon, themed Ever-Winning Wisdom, Oyedepo emphasized the importance of applying biblical wisdom in every aspect of life, including marriage. He advised Christian couples to avoid letting their children come between them and urged them to live by Christian principles.
The cleric also warned couples about neglecting wisdom in their relationships, humorously saying, “Soon, you will be wife-less if you don’t apply wisdom. You will go back to cooking and sweeping.”
Oyedepo further outlined the prophetic characteristics of the end-time church, emphasizing that there will be an outbreak of divine wisdom as foretold in Jeremiah 31:34. He explained that the church would experience unprecedented health and vitality, referencing Isaiah 33:24 and Jeremiah 30:17. He also predicted a surge in financial prosperity as highlighted in Zechariah 1:17, Haggai 2:9, Luke 16:11, and Malachi 3:17.
He mentioned that the end-time church would witness witty inventions and innovations, based on Proverbs 8:12. He added that it would be a time for the rise of spiritual stars, drawing references from Revelation 22:16, Acts 2:20–21, and Daniel 12:3.
The annual Shiloh event remains a spiritual highlight for members of Winners Chapel, drawing participants from across the globe to seek divine direction and blessings.
