How Bobrisky’s Attempt to Cross Border Failed – Witness

New information has surfaced regarding the arrest of popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, at Seme Border on Monday.

Witnesses informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Bobrisky arrived at the border post around 1:30 a.m. in a black Mercedes Benz SUV.

Initial attempts to stop the vehicle were made by Port Health officials, but the driver continued until reaching the Immigration checkpoint.

According to sources, Bobrisky handed his passport to the driver for stamping at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) post.

An immigration surveillance officer named Yusuf recognized Bobrisky during the passport check and immediately summoned the senior officer on duty.

They discreetly called for the Controller of Immigration at Seme Command, Mr. Muhammad Adamu.

The officer then invited Bobrisky to the surveillance unit for passport processing, but he was subsequently taken to the controller’s office for questioning.

A separate source revealed that Bobrisky’s lawyer later arrived at the border to inquire about the arrest.

Reports indicate that Bobrisky remained in the controller’s office until 4:00 p.m. before being transferred to the Lagos State Command of NIS for further investigation.

The NIS confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest, stating that it was due to his status as a “person of interest” in relation to recent public concerns.

Mr. Kenneth Udo, the Public Relations Officer for NIS, emphasized that the agency is committed to securing the borders and noted that Bobrisky would be interrogated and handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
