HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE vs LOW BLOOD PRESSURE

High blood pressure (hypertension) and low blood pressure (hypotension) are two conditions that affect the blood flow in the body.

  • High blood pressure occurs when the force of blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. It can lead to serious health issues such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems if left untreated.
  • Low blood pressure happens when the blood pressure is lower than normal, leading to inadequate blood flow to the organs. Symptoms may include dizziness, fainting, fatigue, and blurred vision. While occasionally low blood pressure may be normal for some individuals, persistent low blood pressure can be a sign of underlying health problems, such as heart issues, endocrine problems, dehydration, or nutritional deficiencies.

Both conditions require medical attention, and treatment varies depending on the underlying cause and severity.
