Helicopter Crash: NSIB Recovers Two More Bodies

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has announced the recovery of two additional bodies from the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter that crashed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The helicopter, which had six passengers and two crew members on board, crashed on Thursday, leading to the confirmed deaths of three people at the scene.

The NSIB confirmed that the two additional bodies were recovered, bringing the total to five.

Search and recovery efforts are ongoing, with three individuals still unaccounted for.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, NSIB Director General, Alex Badeh, stated, “Our search efforts are still active, and we are doing everything possible to locate the remaining three bodies.”

When asked about the possibility of survivors, Badeh explained, “Unfortunately, based on our current findings, it appears that there may be no survivors among those on board.”
