Gunmen kills Kaduna village Head

Gunmen have killed one Malam Kabiru Mohammed village head of Marke, a small village in Dandamisa Ward, Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Reports indicate that the assailants, suspected to be hired hitmen, forcefully entered the victim’s residence around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, compelling everyone out of the compound.

They relentlessly searched for Malam Kabiru, who was found hiding in the ceiling alongside his elder brother, Tukur Mohammed.

Despite their efforts to evade the attackers, they were discovered, leading to Kabiru’s brutal slaying and the subsequent torching of the house.

A community member disclosed these grim details, underscoring the tragic loss suffered by the village.

The violence didn’t stop there; the gunmen also took valuables worth millions of naira before departing the scene.

Kabiru Muhammmad, just 30 years old, had been appointed as the village head of Marke in 2018, a position he held with honor and dedication until his untimely demise.

Despite attempts to obtain comments from the Kaduna State Police Command, no response was received at the time filing this report, leaving the community with shock and grief over this act of violence.
