The Oyo State Government has reached out to indigenes of Ogbomoso residing in North America, urging them to explore the numerous investment opportunities available in the state.

Prince Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information, made this appeal while delivering a keynote address at the Ogbomoso Sons and Daughters North America Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Oyelade outlined the significant projects initiated by the Governor Seyi Makinde administration, which have enhanced the state’s appeal to investors.

He highlighted the projects as over 200 km of interzonal and intrazonal road networks; an effective security structure: ongoing upgrade of the Ladoke Akintola International Passenger and Cargo Airport; extensive agribusiness opportunities

The commissioner emphasised the state’s substantial investments in the agricultural sector, particularly the development of road infrastructure connecting all economic zones.

Oyelade invited his fellow Ogbomoso indigenes to leverage the facilities at the Fasola Industrial Estate.

This estate features complete fencing with drone surveillance, tarred roads, and housing facilities for investors.

He praised Governor Makinde for his dedication to the development of Ogbomoso and the broader state, noting the acquisition of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) as a significant milestone.

In addition, Oyelade paid tribute to the heroes and heroines of Ogbomoso who have significantly contributed to the development of their homeland and Nigeria.

The Oyo State Government’s outreach aims to attract investments that will further enhance the state’s economic growth and development, fostering a prosperous future for both Oyo State and its diaspora community.
