Gov Makinde Approves Coronation of Three Monarchs

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to three traditional rulers in the state.

In a release e-signed by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, and made available to NATIONAL TELESCOPE, the names of the traditional rulers and their respective coronation dates were disclosed.

The statement reads, “The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to three traditional rulers in the state.”

The traditional rulers are His Royal Majesty, Oba Sakiru Oyewole Akanni Oyelere, the Onifiditi of Fiditi, who will be presented with the staff of office and coronated on Wednesday, July 3, 2024; His Royal Majesty, Oba Cornelius Abiola Taiwo Oladokun, the Alaawe of Awe, who will be coronated and presented with the staff of office on Friday, July 5, 2024; His Royal Majesty, Oba Titiloye Oyekanmi Sunday, the Elempe of Tapa, who will be coronated and presented with the staff of office on Monday, July 8, 2024.

The statement also stated that since the inception of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration five years ago, more than thirty Obas and Baales have been installed and coronated across the state.
