Gov Eno Applauded for Palliatives Support to Non-Indigenes

Non-indigenes residing in Akwa Ibom State have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Governor Umo Eno for his inclusive approach to governance. 

The appreciation came during a distribution event in Uyo on Friday, where the governor extended palliative measures to various non-indigenous communities, including Yoruba, Igbo, Arewa, and Niger Delta groups.

At the event, representatives from these communities highlighted their appreciation for the governor’s inclusive governance style, which has made them feel acknowledged and valued as integral members of the state. 

Victor Ayo, representing the Yoruba community, stated, “We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the governor’s unwavering support and empathy. 

His actions reflect his genuine concern for our well-being and recognition of our contributions to the state’s economy.”

Governor Eno’s distribution of palliatives, including 100 bags of rice to each non-indigenous community, was seen as a significant gesture of his commitment to the welfare of all residents, regardless of their ethnic background. 

Kaycee Chidiadi, President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, remarked, “Governor Eno’s kindness has truly touched our hearts. His inclusive approach has made us feel at home in Akwa Ibom State.”

The governor’s appointment of a Senior Special Assistant on Non-Indigenes Affairs has also been commended, further demonstrating his dedication to addressing the needs of non-indigenous residents. 

Dr. Essien Ndueso, Senior Special Assistant on Research and Documentation, praised Governor Eno’s leadership, saying, “His empathy and compassion towards all residents, regardless of their background, are qualities that define a true leader.”

Alhaji Hassan Sadauki, head of the Hausa community, expressed his people’s satisfaction with the governor’s kind gestures and pledged continued support for his programmes and initiatives. 

The distribution event was managed by Mr. Emmanuel Ogbole, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Non-Indigenes Affairs, who also lauded Governor Eno’s detribalised approach to governance.
