Gospel Minister, Dunsin Oyekan Arrives UI for ‘Upper Room’ Worship

Renowned gospel minister, Dunsin Oyekan, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, ahead of the much-anticipated Upper Room worship event organized for the university community.

The Vice-Chancellor warmly welcomed Oyekan, expressing the University’s delight in hosting such a prominent figure in gospel music. Professor Adebowale commended the minister for his unwavering dedication to gospel worship and praised him for choosing to bless the University of Ibadan community with his ministry.

During the visit, Minister Oyekan presented Appreciation Awards to Professor Adebowale and the Registrar, Mr. Ganiyu O. Saliu, recognizing their outstanding commitment to humanity and service to the university.

The event was attended by several distinguished members of the University community, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Peter Olamakinde Olapegba; former President of ICOMAA Worldwide, Dr. Abib Olamitoye; Director of Procurement, Engr. J. K. Ajibola; and the Chaplain of the Chapel of the Resurrection, Dr. V. I. Oladele.

The Upper Room worship event is expected to be a spiritual upliftment for the university community, as Oyekan’s visit sets the tone for a memorable worship experience.
