FG Warns Immigration Officers Against Issuing E-Visas to Terrorists

The Federal Government has cautioned immigration officers against issuing electronic visas to terrorists and criminals.

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, gave the warning during a two-week training session on electronic visa applications for 162 immigration officers in Abuja.

Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of ensuring that only legitimate individuals enter the country, stating that immigration officers have a critical role in enhancing the Ease of Doing Business and promoting tourism and investment opportunities.

He urged the officers to be dedicated, honest, and serve as exemplary ambassadors, warning that compromise will not be tolerated and that there will be consequences for failure.
