FCT Police Nabs 6 Notorious Armed Robbers, Recover Weapons

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested six members of a notorious armed robbery syndicate that has been Terrorising residents of the capital city.

The suspects, Abubakar Adams, Ismail Salisu, Yusuf Bello, Nasiru Saidi, Sani Usman, and Ibrahim Kasa, were notorious for attacking victims who boarded their vehicles or tricycles, robbing them of their valuables, and then pushing them out of the moving vehicle.

According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the arrests were made following multiple complaints from victims.

These victims reported losing mobile phones, money, gadgets, and other belongings to the criminals.

The police recovered light weapons, including cutlasses and knives, as well as a stolen phone from the suspects, who have since confessed to the crimes.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has reassured the public of the command’s commitment to ensuring safety and security in the FCT.

He urged residents to be vigilant and to report suspicious activities.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police have pledged to continue their efforts to dismantle criminal networks and bring perpetrators to justice.
