Former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has hailed Governor Biodun Oyebanji as a “worthy successor” who has not only delivered on key projects but also successfully united political leaders across the state.
“Not all leaders are endowed with such skills and ingenuity,” Fayemi said while speaking in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, where he commissioned road projects completed by Oyebanji.
Fayemi praised Oyebanji for upholding the Ekiti State Transition Law, which mandates that incoming administrations complete ongoing projects.
“Continuity is a blessing for Ekiti,” Fayemi added, noting that previous administrations had abandoned unfinished projects, but Oyebanji’s approach signals “excellent leadership.”
Oyebanji, in response, expressed gratitude to Fayemi for laying the foundation for his administration, calling him a “mentor” and vowing to continue delivering on the promises of governance for the benefit of Ekiti State.
Key stakeholders, including the League of Imams and Alfas, have endorsed Oyebanji’s leadership, praising the economic benefits of the newly commissioned roads and pledging their support for his re-election.
