Failed Bulletproof Charm: 19-Year-Old Native Doctor Arrested Over Client’s Death in Edo

The Edo State Police Command has detained a 19-year-old native doctor, Timothy Dauda, for allegedly killing his client, Alex Ezekiel, during a failed “anti-bullet” charm trial.

Confirming the incident, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Moses Yamu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the tragic event took place on August 20 in Onumu Community, near Igarra, in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the state.

SP Yamu stated, “The suspect, Timothy Dauda, was arrested by our operatives from the Igarra Divisional Police Station.

He is alleged to have shot his client, Alex Ezekiel, while testing a bulletproof charm he claimed to have prepared.”

According to NAN, Dauda allegedly specialized in making charms designed to protect against gunshots and machete cuts.

However, in a shocking turn of events, he reportedly decided to test the charm on Ezekiel by shooting him.

A source told NAN, “The charm apparently failed to work as promised, and Ezekiel sustained fatal injuries.

Despite being rushed to a hospital in Igarra, he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor upon arrival.”

SP Yamu emphasized that the police are taking this case seriously and have assured the public that the suspect will face prosecution as soon as investigations are concluded.

“We are committed to ensuring that justice is served in this matter. The suspect will be charged to court once our investigations are complete,” Yamu added.

The Edo State Police Command has urged citizens to avoid engaging in risky practices and consult only qualified professionals for their safety and well-being
