FAAN to Shut Power at Lagos Airport on Saturday

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that power supply to the International Terminal 2 at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, will be temporarily shut down on Saturday, November 16, between 1:00 AM and 4:30 AM.

According to a statement issued by FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, the power outage is necessary for the replacement of the Bus Riser 11KVA high-tension panel.

Despite the temporary shutdown, FAAN assured that the maintenance work would cause minimal disruption to flight operations and passenger services.

Royal Air Maroc, which operates during the maintenance window, will be relocated to International Terminal 1 for check-in and arrival procedures.

The statement further noted that airlines, security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders have been informed of the maintenance schedule.

FAAN expressed regret for any inconvenience this may cause passengers and assured that safety and security remain a top priority for all airport users.
