Expand TANTITA scope of work, Sen Dicsonson urges Tinubu, NNPC

The senator representing Bayelsa West and former governor of bayelsa state, senator Senator Seriake Dickson has called on President Bola Tinubu and the NNPC to expand the scope of work for Tantita.

The Lawmaker stated this when he led a delegation of Traditional rulers, Elders, Political stakeholders, Women and Youth leaders of Bayelsa West on a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty Oboro- Gbaraun the second, Aketepe Agadagba, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom,

Senator Dickson said this will enable the Tantita Boss and his team to do more in the protection of the National assets within his jurisdiction and the environment as he has done.

While he thanked the Federal Government, the NNPC for engaging Mr. Government Ekpemupolo, also Known as Tompolo for the surveillance contract, the Senator who is also the Chairman Senate Committee on Ecoloyand Climate Change, described the Tantita Boss as a man who understands the job the terrain, operating environment and all the systems of the job. He also thanked him for doing his best to reduce the environmental danger occasioned by illegal refining of crude resources stating that it shows his rich understanding of the terrain.

The Former Governor of Bayelsa State also thanked the King and his Council of Chiefs for maintaining order, peace and stability in the kingdom which according to him is a strategic part of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at Large.

In a remark, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom thanked Senator Dickson and his delegation for the visit stressing that a visit of this sort is important in building cordiality between the Ijaw people of Niger Delta.

The Royal father also commended Senator Dickson describing him as a true son of Ijaw nation. He stated that the contributions of Senator Dickson alongside other illustrious sons of Niger Delta have continued to take the Ijaw Nation forward.

Speaking in his Ijaw dialect, the King prayed God to bless the Lawmaker, strengthen him to continue to deliver on his duties and make contributions that will take the Ijaw nation forward. He also prayed God to grant him and his entourage safe journey back home.

Speaking to Newsmen during the Visit, Dr. O O Osusu, Deputy Chairman Sagbama Caucus and a member of the delegation of Senator Dickson thanked the King and the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom for the warm reception given them.

He also thanked Mr. Ekpemupolo, for his contributions in fostering peace and stability in Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Niger Delta by way of Combating oil theft in the region.
