EFCC Arrests Four Chinese, 101 Nigerians Over Internet Fraud in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended four Chinese nationals and 101 Nigerians in connection with internet fraud activities.

The arrests were made in a business apartment located in the Gudu area of Abuja, as part of the commission’s ongoing campaign to rid the country of internet fraud and other criminal activities.

In a statement released on Thursday, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Dele Oyewale, confirmed that the suspects, consisting of 67 males (including four Chinese nationals) and 38 females, were allegedly involved in a hotel review scam aimed at defrauding victims and hotels, primarily in Europe and other global regions.

The EFCC further stated that once investigations are concluded, the suspects will be formally charged in court.
