EFCC Arrests 44 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Kwara

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of 44 suspected internet fraudsters in different locations across Ilorin, Kwara State.

In a statement released by the Commission, it was revealed that the suspects were apprehended on Friday, September 6, 2024, after credible intelligence was received about their alleged involvement in internet-related crimes.

“Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested forty-four (44) suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Ilorin, Kwara State,” the statement read.

The suspects were reportedly arrested in the areas of Sango, Kulende, Taxaco, and Harmony Estate, all in Ilorin. Items recovered from the suspects include six exotic cars, laptops, smartphones, and charms.
