Dino wins PDP Gov Ticket in Kogi with 313 votes

Senator Dino Melaye has
won the Peoples Democratic Party Governorship ticket to contest for the governor seat of Kogi State

Dino won with 313 votes to beat his closest rival, Kingsley who polled 124 votes at the primary election which was held at Kafa’s Hall event centre in Lokoja.

Announcing the other result, the chairman of the PDP primary election committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi said Abayomi Sunday Awoniyi, a former deputy governor, pulled 77 votes; Engineer Wada Musa secured 56 votes; Ojaja Gideon Enama got 5 votes and Olufemi Olarewaju scored 2 votes.

He said six votes were recorded void .

According to INEC, the governorship election in Kogi State will hold on November 11.
