Deway commiserates with Olomu, ODA over passing of ex-NAN boss


 
The leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara South Senatorial Aspirant, Otunba Olabode Oyedepo (widely known as Deway) has commiserated with the Olomu of Omu Aran, HRM, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti and members of the Omu-Aran Descendants Association (ODA) over the death of the Eesa of the community, Chief Jide Adebayo.

Deway in a statement he released at the weekend through Adebayo Olodan, his Special Assistant on Media, described the former Acting Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) as a brother with an uncommon passion for his community and the lgbomina race.

Speaking further, Otunba Oyedepo, a cosmopolitan businessman said, “My heart is with the Olomu of Omu Aran, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti and the people of Omu-Aran over the sudden demise of my brother, Chief Adebayo who is the Prime Minister of the community.

“He was an uncommon personality in the media industry and one who diligently rose through the ranks to the apex of his career.

“Chief Adebayo, who was former Commissioner for lnformation in the state, lived for the Omu-Aran community and he was a role model to many. He was the reason some of our youths in lgbomina are in the media industry.

“The Eesa will be sorely missed by all especially by our Kabiesi but we however take solace in the fact that Chief Adebayo contributed immensely to his community, the Igbomina Land, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.”

Otunba Oyedepo, who is also the Opomulero of Oro Kingdom however prayed to God to forgive the shortcomings of the veteran journalist, grant him eternal rest and comfort his family and the people of Omu-Aran.
