In a bid to further reduce the effect of lockdown occasioned by the outbreak of COVID-19, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has flagged-off the distribution in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on the force twitter handle and obtained by CAMPUS FOCUS today.
According to the statement, the initiative is aimed at supporting families within the policing communities adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The statement reads: “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has flagged-off a Community Sensitization Campaign and Palliative Support Program against COVID-19 on Tuesday, 19th May, 2020, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
“The program, a community-driven initiative of the Force, is aimed at supporting families within the policing communities adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic prevention lockdown and other regulations.”
