COVID-19: NCCF, Calabar, Extends Humanitarian Service to Host Community

As part of her effort to contribute to the curtailing of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Nigeria Christian Corpers’ Fellowship, Calabar, has distributed Hand sanitizers and Nose masks to the people of Akiba in Ikot Ansa.

The community Development Service which was embarked on 4th May, 2020 with the Corps Members moving from door-to-door distributing hand sanitizers and nose masks.

They also trained some residents on how use the materials.

The corps members encouraged members of the community through awareness to ensure to follow all procedure issued by the NCDC to avoid being infected with the virus.

Speaking during in an interview, the Chairman of the organization, Pastor Durojaiye Olushola enjoined the government to do more in providing for the need of the people during the period of the lockdown.

He however urged the people to put their safety first.

Meanwhile some of beneficiaries in a separate interview, commended the Association for the support.

A beneficiary simply identified as Mr. Fred, said, the Corps members’ did well by remembering their host community at this crucial time, he also cried out to the government to come to their rescue because hunger is not far from them.

Another beneficiary, Mrs. Genevieve Bassay praised the corps members for their hearted service, saying it was a timely intervention in order to protect lives.”
