Covid-19: FG announces death of Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari

The Federal Government has announced the death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba
Kyari.

Abba Kyari who had been tested positive to Coronavirus and was receving treatment died on Friday, 17th April, 2020.

This was according to a Statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Saturday on Saturday, April 18, 2020

The statement read “The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”

The statement also said “Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.”

The deceased who is in his early 70s was earlier moved to Lagos state for treatment.
