Corp Members lauds FG over payment of N33,000 Allowance

Corp members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has applauded the federal government on the payment of N33,000 allowance.

The federal government increased the allowance of the corp members from N18,000 to N33,000.

Speaking with Campus Focus Correspondents in separate interview at the weekend, some of the corp members who confirmed the payments express their feeling over the increment.

Abolarinolu funmilayo, a corp member who is currently serving in Ogbomoso North, Oyo state said the increment will go enable her to carter more for herself during the service year while saving more fund for a small business.

“This is a good one from the Federal government. Now I will be able to do more in terms of my welfare for the remaining period I have here.

And with more money now, I intend to save more because I intend to start small business before even looking for a job. Am really happy”

 

In the same vein, Richard Oludare who is currently serving in Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State who said although he is yet to receive his alert due to delay  from his bank, noted that the increment is an opportunity to start investing before the end of the service year.

“I must tell you that am very happy, although I am yet to receive my alert but some of my friend have received their own. This is a good thing. The federal government has done well for us.

“With this payment now I will expand my investment plan to be a bigger. Because for me more money means more investment.  Intact in the next couple of months before the end of my service am sure to start implementing my plans.”

 

Majiyagbe Alice a batch B stream 2 corp member who also serving in kebbi State said “I was over whelmed when I received the alart of N33,000.

“I thought it won’t come true.”

 

When quizzed on her next plan Alice said  “my plans is to increase my savings, and look up for a better tomorrow.”

 

Also, Idowu Oluwafemi who is currently serving in Ikogosi resort center in ekiti state said the payment will further increase chances of investing.

“I feel very good and happy on this development. Immediately I saw the alert I began to make my plans.”

 

Another corp member who is currently serving at ibesikpoasutan  local government of Akwo-Ibom state Idowu Oluwafemi said “I have received my alart ooo., Am really very happy.”

 

Similarly, Oyedele Opeyemi Akinwale who is also serving in Akwa Ibom State, said  “Although am yet to see mine but some of my friend has seen it and am very happy.

 

He however disclosed that he is planning on what investment he will go into.
