Coronavirus: US-based Pharmacist rallies Support for Gov. AbdulRazaq , Contributes free checkup to Kwarans

A United State based healthcare professional, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik (PharmD, MBA) has called on Kwarans to support the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq as he puts in place measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the State.

Dr.Malik, who is also the Managing Director, of the only 24-Hours pharmacy in Kwara State, ROTAMEDICS Pharmacy, Ilorin made the call while announcing his contribution to the State government through a Phone Chat today.

The Community pharmacist disclosed that all his pharmaceutical branches in ilorin will provide a free temperature checkup for everyone in Kwara

He expressed concern on the impact of the infection across the world. The Health economist caution the public to place high priority on ensuring the disease does not spread in the state.

He commended the state government for taking proactive measure by shutting the state and setting up the Technical Committee. Dr.Malik noted that the action of the governor is in the best interest of kwarans.

“I want to commend the Kwara State Government for taking the right step by shutting down all borders thereby suspending entry and exit from Kwara state. It is a laudable step that everyone in Kwara should applaud. This action will help prevent the introduction of the virus into the state.

“Also, the No Movement Policy will help curtail the spread of the virus by all undetected carriers. So I want to appeal to everyone in Kwara to support the State Governor, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and his team by adhering to the directive without compromise.

While also commending the Kwara State Technical Committee on Convid-19 led by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi on their effort in the fight against the disease, the Kwara born diaspora healthcare professional said: “Kudos to the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Mr.Kayode Alabi and members of the Committee for paying a surprise visit to some check points where security agents were caught compromising their mandate and letting passengers and vehicles into the state.

He said “I want to suggest government take it a step further by mandating citizens use mask everytime they step out of their homes or when in public. This will greatly help reduce the spread of the virus.

“Experts have also said the virus is also spread by micro droplets that linger in the air for a long time especially in enclosed settings. They have recommended keeping doors and windows open for ventilation whenever people gather in a room.

“In my little Capacity to support the state government to manage this crisis, I am providing Free Temperature checks in all the branches of ROTAMEDICS Pharmacy. This will help in the preliminary steps towards detection, diagnosis, quarantine and subsequent reduction in the spread of the corona virus.” He added.
