Cholera Outbreak: Lagos Records 21 Deaths, 401 Suspected Cases

The cholera outbreak in Nigeria has claimed 21 lives in Lagos, with 401 suspected cases reported so far.

According to Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Health, the number of cases has increased due to large gatherings during Sallah festivities.

However, she noted that government interventions and surveillance have helped to reduce the number of cases in previously affected areas.

The Lagos State government has intensified its response to the outbreak, conducting rigorous surveillance and implementing measures to curb the spread.

The Ministry of Health, along with the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), is testin reneged on his promise.
