Bursary: NAKSS calls off planned protest as Kwara Govt. commences payment Monday

The Leadership of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) has laid to rest its earlier planned protest as the Kwara plans to commence payment of the Bursary on Monday.

The apex Students body in a statement signed by its National Vice-President Comr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Paranti and National Publicity Secretary Comr. Salihu Ayatullahi said the decision was necessary after a meeting with the Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor on Students Affairs in Ilorin yesterday.

According to the statement, Comr. Bisi Fakayode affirmed at the meeting that the fund meant to disburse students schooling within Kwara State has already been released by the state government.

In the same vein, the scholarship board chairperson, Barr. Fatima Yusuf also confirmed that the board has received the fund, said payment will commence on Monday, January 11th, 2019 after due completion with the payment to northern state students.

They however called on the state government to ensure a hitch free disbursement process
