Former President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Godwill Akpabio, and other eminent Nigerians, on Friday congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 72nd birthday.
Tinubu clocked 72 years old on Friday, March 29, 2024.
Garba Shehu, Senior Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Buhari, who shared the congratulatory message on his X handle, said the ex-president on Friday, “followed up his public statement with a phone call to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in which he personally passed on his best wishes for a happy 72nd birthday to the President.”
He said, “In the course of the conversation, the former president said he was fully committed to the success of the APC administration under President Tinubu.
“In this regard, President Buhari prayed profusely for Tinubu’s success, saying that praying for a leader is imperative as his success and well-being are for the nation (everyone), adding that the accomplishments of the new administration must be seen as national achievements.”
Also, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, elugised the virtues of President Tinubu, describing him as a transformational leader, developmental democrat and bridge builder.
“As a transformational leader, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, leads from the front and this is exemplified in his developmental strides as governor of Lagos State and since coming on stream as the Commander-In-Chief and President of Nigeria.
“As a developmental democrat, he has over the decades demonstrated uncommon commitment in nurturing and instituting a firm foundation for democracy in Nigeria.
“As a bridge builder, he has remained the greatest mobiliser of men and women in contemporary Nigeria and the politician with the most robust political machinery.”
In the same vein, Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in his congratulatory message described President Tinubu as a democrat and visionary leader, adding that he is the right man to lead the country at this period of economic crisis.
Abiodun; a member of Tinubu’s newly announced strategic economic team, said the President is worth celebrating because of his commitment to nation-building.
He said: “I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 72nd birthday. This milestone is not only a celebration of a remarkable life well-lived but also an opportunity to acknowledge the president’s exceptional contributions to the growth and development of our great nation, Nigeria.

On his part, Former governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, In a statement issued by his media team, praised the President for his long-standing commitment to progressive ideals.
He said, “President Tinubu’s remarkable journey in service to our country exemplifies dedication, fortitude, and commitment. His unwavering leadership has helped shape our country’s political landscape and advance the cause of democracy.
“President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated tenacity in the face of adversity throughout his career. I am confident in his ability to bring all Nigerians together and lead us out of these trying times.
”I urge Nigerians to be patient while the President’s reforms take effect.

On his part, the King of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an achiever and the messiah of the black race.
He expressed confidence in the administrative prowess of the president, noting that he has fought and won many battles that will catapult Nigeria to economic prosperity.

Also, the Onimode of Imode land, Kwara State, HRH Oba Joseph Dada congratulated the President, praying for God to grant him the grace to resolve the enormous challenges currently bedevilling the country.
