Breaking: INEC declares APC ‘s Tinubu winner of Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of 2023 presidential election.

Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who got 6,984,520 votes, while Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, placed third with 6,101,533 votes.

Declaring Tinubu as the President-elect of Nigeria at exactly 4.08am on Wednesday March 1, 2023, INEC chairman Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu said the former governor of Lagos state fulfilled the requirements of the law.
