BREAKING: C’River Electoral Commission Chairman Resigns

The Chairman of the Cross Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) Professor Mike Ushie has resigned.

This was disclosed to journalist in the state in a letter to the secretary to the cross river state government on Wednesday by himself.

According to him, “my decision to step down is driven by my desire to return back to the academic world for further research,. I have been in this service for over six years of dedicated service in the electoral body.”

Prof Ushie said, “I write to resign my appointment as Chairman of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC).

“This decision is to enable me to return to the University for further research work having served for over six years in that capacity. “

He added, “I wish His Excellency well in the implementation of the people’s first agenda of his Administration. “
